Harmonyca

What is Harmonyca?

HArmonyCa® is a next-generation injectable treatment that combines hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) in a single syringe. It was developed by Allergan Aesthetics and is designed to provide both immediate lifting/contouring and long-term collagen stimulation.

How HArmonyCa Works

1 — Immediate Effect

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

The HA component acts like a traditional filler:

  • Restores volume
  • Improves facial contours
  • Provides an immediate lifting effect
  • Hydrates the skin

Results are visible right after treatment.

2 — Long-Term Effect

Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA)

CaHA microspheres act as a biostimulator:

  • Stimulate fibroblasts
  • Increase natural collagen production
  • Improve skin firmness and elasticity
  • Continue working for months after treatment

This is why HArmonyCa is often called a hybrid filler or collagen-stimulating filler.

Potential Side Effects

Category Side Effects
Common Swelling, Bruising, Tenderness, Redness
Less common Nodules or lumps, Asymmetry, Vascular complications (rare but serious), Over-contouring if too much product is used

Proper injection technique and patient selection are very important.

Important Consideration

Unlike a standard HA filler, only the hyaluronic acid portion can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

The collagen-stimulating CaHA component cannot simply be dissolved once collagen formation has occurred.

This is why injector expertise is especially important.
